There’s a BC convention coming up next weekend. It’s primarily an opportunity to connect with Liberals from across BC - a huge amount of the communication that happens at a convention like this is informal, in hallways, after panel discussions, and at hospitality suites. There’ll also be some election-readiness training sessions.
From Jonathan Wilkinson, MP for North Vancouver:
The Liberal Party of Canada's BC convention is fast approaching, and this year it is taking place right here in North Vancouver!
Conventions are always an important gathering point for community members, donors, and volunteers to discuss the diverse challenges of our communities and find ways to make meaningful strides in our country.
Additionally, this convention comes at a pivotal point: we are currently in the process of preparing for the next election that will likely commence in the upcoming year. Any contribution we make now will be of paramount importance in ensuring that Pierre Poilievre stays out of office, and that the Liberal government which has led on climate change, provided dental care, and combatted inflation continues to deliver for all Canadians.
The convention will take place over two days - November 8th and 9th - and include many guest speakers, plenaries on differing issues, and conclude with the election of a new board of directors who will lead us into the next election.
November 1: Last day to register to be eligible to vote during convention
November 9: Deadline to register to attend convention

If you’ve never attended a convention before, and you feel like you won’t know anybody there, please feel free to reach out to me (russilwvong@gmail.com). Especially if you want to talk about housing.
