Your voting options:
During advance polling, from Friday April 18 to Monday April 21, from 9 am to 9 pm.
Or: at any Elections Canada office, until Tuesday April 22 at 6 pm local time. The Elections Canada office for Vancouver Kingsway is at 6373 Fraser Street (near 48th). Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 9 pm, Saturday 9 am to 6 pm, Sunday noon to 4 pm.
Or: on Election Day, Monday April 28, from 7 am to 7 pm.
In a federal election, during advance polling and on Election Day, you need to vote at a specific location, based on where you live. (This is different from the October 2024 provincial election in BC, when you could vote anywhere.)
To find out where to vote, go to VoteAmyKGill.ca and enter your postal code.
Previously I thought that you could vote at your local Elections Canada office until the close of polling. In fact as a Redditor points out, the deadline to request a special ballot, even from your local Elections Canada office, is still Tuesday April 22.
If you’re requesting it by mail, the deadline is Tuesday April 22, 3 pm Pacific / 6 pm Eastern.
If you’re requesting it in person at an Elections Canada office, the deadline is Tuesday April 22, 6 pm local time.
You can return a special ballot to the Vancouver Kingsway office at any time until close of polling. Reddit thread.
