Between elections
In the 2025 election, Vancouver Kingsway was a photo finish between Amy K. Gill and Don Davies, despite the sea of orange signs which gave the impression that Don Davies would win easily. Last time, Don Davies and the NDP won Kingsway with a margin of nearly 25%. This time around, he still won, but the margin was tiny: only about 300 votes. This was one of the closest races in the country.
We’re now in the off season. The role of the riding association is to keep things running between elections, recruiting volunteers and raising funds so that we'll be ready for the next election, and staying in touch with voters in the riding and with other riding associations.
It's much more relaxed compared to the election campaign! We have a monthly social event (Housing Happy Hour), as well as community events or door-knocking.
